Sydney : Here we are! The birthplace of Banff National Park. If memory serves me well, a couple of railroad workers stumbled upon these hot springs and two years later this whole area was made a national park.

Bianca : Looks more like a swimming pool than hot springs. There's even a lifeguard.

Sydney : That's just how it was developed to make it nicer for tourists, but in the old days it was probably a lot more rustic.

Bianca : After a long soak, we should head to the Cave and Basin National Historic Site. That will give us a better idea of how this gorgeous place became the third national park in the world and the first in Canada.

Sydney : Good idea! But after that hike through the Rockies for the last three days, we may need to soak in this mineral water for a lot longer than you think.

Bianca : You're not getting any argument from me. It feels so good to just lie here without a 30-kilo pack on my back.

Sydney : Don't you know it! But I do miss walking along Lake Louise. At least that part of the hike was flat and easy.

Bianca : Yeah, And remember those three guys who were stripped down to their birthday suits and swimming in that glacial water!

Sydney : That was really funny! But I think this is a far better idea.

Bianca : Yeah, but don't forget: we're going to cycling on the Bow Valley Parkway tomorrow. 

Sydney : Oh, right! Remind me to call for our bike rentals. Maybe we should take the bikes and go for a spin today to make sure they're adjusted probably for us.

* go for a spin - to take a ride in a car or on a bike/motocycle 한 바퀴 돌다
