Heavy snow on black Friday – shop at your own risk

Angie : Are you ready to go shopping, Chris? I made coffee and put fresh muffins on the table.

Christopher : Shopping? Didn't you look out the window? I don’t think we’re going anywhere today and maybe tomorrow, too.

Angie : Oh my goodness! When did it start snowing? There must be eight inches on the ground. What a disaster!

Christopher : Well, I guess I can go back to bed!

Angie : Oh no you don’t! It’s Black Friday and we have a shopping trip planned, so I’m not letting a little dusting of snow stop me.

Christopher : That’s wishful thinking, Angie, it’s a full-fledged blizzard. It won’t be safe to go out on the roads today. The snowplows haven’t even been through here yet.

Angie : Come on, Chris. Your SUV has 4-wheel drive. Think of how empty the stores will be.

Christopher : I can imagine how empty they’ll be – no customers and no employees. The doors shut tight and the lights out!

Angie : Where’s your sense of adventure? Go get your snow boots and coat. What do you say?

Christopher : Sure, I’ll drink my coffee while you go outside and clean the snow off the car and shovel the walkway.

Angie : You’re such a stinker, Chris! Well, I guess we can wait until tomorrow. Or better yet, let’s shop online in bed!
