"travel/trip/sightseeing/tour"

'여행'이라는 말은 그 단어만 떠올려도 마음은 이미 어디론가 가 있을 만큼, 설레임을 주는 것 같습니다. '여행하다' 혹은 '여행'을 떠올리면 영어로는 travel, trip, sightseeing, tour 정도가 될 텐데요. travel은 그야말로 '여행을 하다, 여행', 어떤 곳에 가서 자신을 돌아보고 현지 사람과 문화, 음식을 접하는 포괄적인 여행을 의미하는 반면, trip은 상대적으로 기간이 짧거나 특정한 목적을 가진 여행을 가리킬 때 쓰는 말입니다. sightseeing은 '관광'을 가리키는 말이고, tour는 '일정한 루트, 목적지를 정해 놓고 돌아다니는 관광'을 뜻하죠.
