Beginning out the winter clothes

Victor : What's all the thumping and scrapping up there? It sounds like you're trying to hide a body!

Maura : Victor, I need help getting this trunk down from the attic. Grab the other end, please.

Victor : What's in here? It smells like mothballs.

Maura : It's our winter clothes. The weather is changing fast, so I thought today would be a good day to switch out our closets.

Victor : I can't believe it's almost wintertime again. It feels like only yesterday when we were on the beach making sandwiches.

Maura : It it makes you feel better, you can leave your aloha shirt in the closet. But you need to bring me everything else with short sleeves.

Victor : Oh, look! our matching reindeer sweaters from the Christmas party with the "Ugly Sweater" theme.

Maura : Uh, Victor. I hate to break the news to you, but those are the sweaters my mother gave us two years ago. And you told her you loved them!

Victor : Oops. I guess I let the cat out of the bag! You must have known I only said that to make her feel good.

Maura : Yeah, I knew. And to tell you the truth, I hate them too. But we can't let her know that.

Victor : It's a deal. Now let me go get my shorts and summer shirts while you throw those clothes in the dryer with something to get that god-awful smell out of them!
