"drop off"

drop off는 우리말로 하면 어디에 '내려주다'라는 말인데요. '누구를 어디까지 데려다 주다'라는 <take 누구 to 어디>와 의미는 같습니다. 어디까지 데려다 주고, 어디 앞에서 내려 주는 거니까요. <drop off at 어디>, <drop off in front of 어디>와 같이 말 할 수 있고, drop me off, drop you off, drop him off, drop her off와 같이 내려주는 대상을 인칭대명사로 말할 때는 <drop 누구 off>라고 해야 하고, 이름을 넣거나 인칭대명사가 아닌 것이 대상이 되면 <drop 누구 off> 혹은 <drop off 누구> 둘다 됩니다.
