National Parks of North America: Yellowstone

Sam : How much further do we have to walk? It feels like we've been following this trail for hours.

Rhonda : We're almost there, Sam. And when we walk into the next clearing, you won't believe your eyes. Just a few more meters...

Sam : Oh my gosh! Look at all the bison drinking from that pond. And look over there! Elk! How did you find out about this place?

Rhonda : Through word of mouth among my hiker friends. John and Kate came to Yellowstone Park last summer and they sent me the GPS coordinates.

Sam : Let's go sit over there under that tree. I don't want to spook the animals. This is too perfect!

Rhonda : Yeah, you don't want to get too close to bison. They may look like shaggy cows, but they can be really aggressive if they feel threatened.

Sam : I'll keep that in mind, but I think my telephoto lens will do the trick. But I might want to walk over to the opposite side of the pond just for better lighting.

Rhonda : Don't push your luck, Sam. I don't have cell phone coverage way out here, so we won't be able to call in the Medivac helicopter to get you out when those buffaloes are done with you.

Sam : Point taken. I'll just go up the hill behind us for a different perspective.

Rhonda : Hey, look! There are some vultures chomping on some kind of carcass over there. Get pictures of that, too, will you?

Sam : Umm... that's kind of gross, but if you insist...
