미국에서 솔로 남자 가수들은 로맨틱한 대상이라는 인상을 심어주려 한다. 어떤 이들은 나쁜 남자지만 매력적인 이미지를 만들어서 성공을 거두기도 한다. 하지만 학구적으로 보이기 위해 노력하는 미국 남자 가수를 나는 떠올릴 수 없다. 미국에서 발라드가 유행했을 때에도 똑똑해 보이는 것은 추구되지 않았다. 나의 새로운 통찰력에 나는 매우 흥미를 느꼈으며 아직 확실한 결론에 도달하지 못했다.

In america, solo male singers try to give the impression as romantic figures. Some find success by creating a bad boy, yet charming image. But, I can not recall an american solo male singer who tries to appear academic. even when ballads were popular in america, looking smart was not sought after. I was fascinated by my new insight and I have not yet reached a definitive conclusion.

요즘 그런 종류의 상남자 이미지는 추구되지 않는다.

That kind of macho image is not sought after nowadays.
