"out of control"

control은 '통제, 조정, 제어'라는 뜻이고, out of control은 '통제가 안 되고, 조정이 안 되는 상황이나 사람, 제어가 안 되는 것'을 가리키는 말입니다. 사람이 그럴 수도 있고, 자동차나 어떤 상황이 그럴 수도 있죠. 통제력을 상실하고 스스로 자제력을 잃는다는 말은 lose control이라고도 할 수 있습니다.
