I already finished my Christmas shopping

Conner : Why do you look so happy, Mabel? Did you win the lottery or something?

Mabel : Almost. I finished all of my Christmas shopping today. And I didn't leave my desk to do it.

Conner : That’s amazing. I haven’t even decided who I’m buying gifts for yet!

Mabel : Well, I found a website that gives cash back for every purchase, so I couldn't stop myself.

Conner : It sounds too good to be true. I’ll stick with shopping the old-fashioned way – going into the store and actually being able to pick up what I’m going to buy.

Mabel : I guess that triggers a  sense of nostalgia for when we were kids. But the crowds make me want to hightail it out of there.

Conner : I think you’re getting old, Mabel! The crowds and the Christmas music and the guy dressed like Santa Claus – that’s what makes it feel like the holidays to me.

Mabel : That sounds good when you say it, but when I’m actually in the mall getting jostled, fighting for the last sweater on the shelf, and having to park my car half a mile away… I’ll pass.

Conner : On second thought, maybe you should give me the name of that website. Maybe I can make the holidays a little less stressful this year.

Mabel : There you go! You can make it your present to yourself.

Conner : I think I know the first person I’m going to shop for. Thanks for setting me straight, Mabel. Ha ha ha!
