Yeah, it said he lost a lot of bone density and muscle mass because he didn't have the pull of gravity for his body to work against.

And to top it off, he was exposed to a lot of radiation. It was the same as flying 10,000 times between Los Angeles and New York.

Yeah, but he didn't just sit there suffering in space. He worked out about 90 minutes a day to fight the effects of weightlessness.
After reading that, i'm of the minds about ever becoming an astronaut, that's for sure.
