First Time Camping in the Wilderness

Rex : Did you hear that? What was that noise?

Samantha : I think it was the wind blowing through the branches over our tent.

Rex : No, I'm pretty sure it sounded like growling. I think there's a bear outside our tent. Or maybe a lion!

Samantha : Look, Rex, we came here for a little R&R, not to lose our heads about imaginary bears. And there aren't any lions on this entire continent except in zoos.

Rex : Then maybe one escaped. Oh no! We had hamburgers for dinner. We must still smell like the food and the campfire. Bears can't resist the smell of cooked meat.

Samantha : Give me the flashlight, Rex. I'm going to put an end to this silliness right now. If there were a bear outside, we would have smelled it before we heard it.

Rex : Don't go out there, Samantha! You don't know what's waiting in the dark.

Samantha : I've been roughing it in the wilderness since I was a little girl. And I'm sure we followed all the procedures for keeping wildlife away from the campsite.

Rex : Here, take my knife. Just in case.

Samantha : In case what? I get attacked by a salad? This is the plastic knife from our dinner.

Rex : Well, it'll give you a fighting chance, and maybe give me time to run away while you're screaming bloody murder.
