나는 내 학생이 아닌 이들에게는 개별적인 조언을 해준다.

때로는 내가 방금 만난 사람들이 자기들에게 영어를 배우기 위한 조언을 해달라고 나에게 요청한다. 나라면 내가 방금 만난 요리사에게 요리에 대해 나에게 조언을 해달라고 물어보지 않을 것이다. 그래서 난 그들에게 영자신문이나 잡지를 온라인으로 읽으라고 한다. 그것은 낯선 사람에게 주기에 안전한 답변이다.

 

I give case by case advice for those who are not my students. Sometimes, people I have just met ask me to advise them on learning English. I wouldn't ask a chef I have just met to advise me on cooking. So I tell them to read English newspapers or magazines online. It is a safe answer to give to a stranger.
