다섯 명의 남자 아이들이 서로의 손을 잡고 천천히 함께 뛰었다. 한 남자 아이는 다른 이들보다 키가 상당히 작았고 한 손으로 자기의 눈물을 훔치고 있었다. 신체적으로 불편했던 그는 매년마다 꼴찌로 달렸다. 비록 그는 달리기 시합에 참가하고 싶지 않았지만 그의 아버지는 도전에 직면하라고 격려를 했다. 전년도에는 그의 담임 선생님이 그와 함께 뛰었다.

Five boys held each other's hands and slowly ran together. one boy was considerably shorter than the others and was wiping his tears with one hand. Physically challenged, he ran last every year. Though he didn't want to participate in the race, his father encouraged him to face the challenge. In the previous year, his homeroom teacher ran with him.
