Dublin : so many parks here!

Jack : Chris, do you want to take a detour through the park over there? It's getting too hot in the sun this afternoon.

Christine : Isn't that the park we walked through yesterday..umm..Phoenix Park?

Jack : No, that's Herbert Park over there. Phoenix Park is in the other side of the city center, near our hotel.

Christine : It's hard to keep track of them all. It doesn't seem like we're in a European capital with so much green space. 

Jack : It is the greenest city in Europe in that regard. They really like their parks in Dublin, but they seem to take them for granted - there's hardly anyone in them during the week.

Christine : I have an idea - let's have a picnic in Phoenix Park tomorrow afternoon. It'll feel like we've left the city and are somewhere in the Irish countryside.

Jack : I like the way you think! Maybe if luck is on our side we'll spot some of the deer that live in the park.

Christine : Are you serious? A herd of deer in the middle of a city? Will wonders never cease?

Jack : It's also where the president of Ireland lives. His official residence is within the walls of the park. It's the biggest walled city park in all of Europe.

Christine : Wild deer and the Irish president? That would be quite a way to end our trip to Ireland.

Jack : Fat chance we'll see either on a Saturday with tourist season in full swing!
