You've never heard of reggae?

Owen : Dee, do you know what this music we keep hearing is called? It seems like it's playing in every shop we pass by.

Dee : I'm at a loss, Owen! You've never heard of reggae music? Have you been living under a rock all these years?

Owen : Not exactly, but close enough. My parents were very strict about the music I listened to as a kid. The lion's share of it was classical or religious.

Dee : Well, now that we're in Jamaica, you're going to experience a whole new world of music. See the guy with the dreadlocks in all the posters and pictures in the shop? That's Bob Marley, the undisputed king of reggae.

Owen : I've heard the name, but I don't think I know his music.

Dee : Stop. Hear the song coming from that car over there? That's Bob Marley's song "One Love." It's a song about peace. Do you like it?

Owen : It's got a nice rhythm and beat. Do you think we can see a live band tonight that will play reggae music?

Dee : Are you kidding me? We'd be hard pressed to find a band that didn't play reggae.

Owen : This is a little embarrassing, but I feel like I'm hooked on reggae bug when I was six. My parents were big fans of Peter Tosh and Steel Pulse. I have some of their music on my MP3 player if you want to listen.

Dee : Totally! Let's get some lunch and go down to the beach and have a reggae picnic!
