Who has a higher threshold for pain, men or women?

Blaire : What is all the ruckus about in here? I heard you scream a second ago.

Stuart : Ow ow ow!!!! I just stubbed my toe on the corner of the bookshelf. Ow ow ow!!!! I think it's broken!

Blaire : Don't be such a baby,Stuart. It's just a stubbed toe. You don't know what real pain is. Try being a woman for a couple months.

Stuart : Please! Women have it easy. Look at professional football players on TV.  Those guys can play through the pain. Women have a  far lower pain threshold than men.

Blaire : Have any of you tough guys ever had a baby? Or worn high heels for 8 straight hours? Or had crippling cramps every four weeks?

Stuart : Well, maybe not, but I don't think it's the same thing.

Blaire : No? When a woman is pregnant her whole body swells up, her back is in a constant strain from carrying around the bowling ball growing inside of her. And don't get me started on the labor pain!

Stuart : Okay, okay. Women are pretty good at handling some kinds of pain. But look at my toe! It's turning purple! I should go to the doctor.

Blaire : Stuart, I feel really sorry for you. I hope you never get an actual injury. And I'm not saying that just for your sake, but for my sake too.

Stuart : What do you mean?

Blaire : I mean, I don't think I could stand all the whining and moaning if you did actually break your toe. I might have to really give you something to cry about!
